The revised March 2022 edition, which is the latest edition of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DMS) published by the American Psychiatry Association, is used on this website both to define ODD, and to define the symptoms and common signs of ODD. This is because the DMS is used exclusively in Australia to both classify and identify mental heath conditions – of which ODD is considered to be a part of.
